Chiengora scarf 2

Chiengora (pronounced she-an-gora) refers to yarn spun from dog hair.  Our wolf-dogs' molt their undercoat each spring. Their fur is sent to a spinster who spins their fur into yarn and then knits the scarf. It is a lengthy and labor-intensive process, but the end result is a warm, enduring and soft product!  This scarf was spun using 100% fur from our wolf-dogs, and knitted by Libby McGee in western NC. the scarf is approx. 80" in length. Hand wash only & air dry flat.
