SPIRIT

Spirit was picked up as a stray by animal control in Indiana. It is rumored that he jumped a six-foot fence and escaped from his home, but his owners never came to claim him. Since he was labeled a wolf-dog, he was going to be euthanized. Luckily word spread throughout the wolf-dog community that he needed to be rescued, and he came to live at Wolf PAWS in October of 2014 when he was about 2 years old. He and Kimi were kennel mates and have been best friends ever since. He is shy with new people, but Kimi has helped to socialize him and show him that getting closer to humans gets you more tasty treats. He enjoys drinking water from the hydrant to keep cool in the summer heat. We often find him napping on the rooftop of his doghouse overlooking his domain.
